My Story
Hey y'all! I'm Michele Zeller, and I live with my husband and three children in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. Aside from working, I enjoy traveling, tacos, a good steak, snuggling and laughing with my kids, sipping a good old fashioned, trying new craft beers, date nights, sleeping, and church on Sundays. In 2014 I started an event rental company called Decor on a Dime, decorating for weddings and events. Soon after I added wedding officiating and coordinating to my services. In July 2022, I made the difficult decision to sell the event rental side of the biz, and focus solely on performing ceremonies and day-of coordination. I'm proud to say that I am the preferred vendor for many venues in the New Orleans and surrounding area, and also a lead officiant for national elopement company Simply Eloped!
Coordination/Event Management: You Don't Know What You Don't Know
1. The catering company says they only work their own food, and won't cut or pass cake. They also didn't provide any cake plates or extra forks.
2. The second line band hasn't arrived yet due to an emergency, and they're supposed to play the music for the ceremony recessional.
3. The wedding dress gets a red wine stain.
4. Your officiant is running late
5. Watching the weather, it looks like it will be torrential rain in about an hour, right when the ceremony is scheduled to start, outdoors.
Would you know what to do if these things happened at your wedding? Would you even be in the right head space to handle them? I'll be there to save the day! Being in this industry year after year, we develop a sixth sense.....the ability to see around corners. Even if nothing like these disasters happen, there are still so many logistics and behind the scenes details that you won't be able to address. And you shouldn't have to. As your coordinator, I remain calm under pressure, take charge when needed, and make your wedding day as important as I'd make mine. I'm putting out fires, keeping things on track, and making sure that you, your spouse, your family and friends are not "working" the wedding!
Officiating: Experience matters on your wedding day!
Please don't put all of your focus on flowers, favors, napkins or place cards and then pick an officiant at random. Isn't the ceremony the most important part? During that very moment, your life changes forever. You deserve an officiant who won't mispronounce your name, or disregard your special request, as well as someone who is articulate, engaging, warm and friendly.
With over 22 years of public speaking experience, and a LOVE for love and marriage, I deliver a meaningful ceremony that leaves guests with a warm heart - not wondering "when will this end?" I'll work with you to create the perfect ceremony script to fit you and your fiance's style. I know when to step out of the picture. I'll fix your dress if no one else does. I have married over 800 couples and never grow tired of this honor! All couples welcome.
